Former Melissa Cardinals standout Brendon Lewis established himself as one of the top quarterbacks to come out of North Texas. At Melissa High School, Lewis earned national attention as a highly recruited dual-threat quarterback, leading the Cardinals with his playmaking ability both through the air and on the ground.

Lewis went on to play Division I football at University of Colorado Boulder, where he became the starting quarterback and threw for over 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2021 season. He later transferred to University of Nevada, Reno, where he broke out in 2024 with 2,290 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, 775 rushing yards, and 8 rushing touchdowns. Lewis finished his college career at University of Memphis, posting another strong season with 2,673 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, and 9 rushing touchdowns. Across his collegiate career, Lewis totaled more than 8,000 passing yards, 44 passing touchdowns, and over 2,200 rushing yards.

Known for his leadership, toughness, and athleticism, Lewis earned an invitation to the rookie minicamp for the Carolina Panthers as he continues pursuing his professional football career.
